President Joe Biden has ordered the resumption of permanent residency issues issued by his predecessor during the pandemic, which has been blocked by the mayor on legal immigration to the United States.
Biden withdrew a suspension implemented by Donald Trump’s governor. In a proclamation on Wednesday, Biden stated that it would close the door on legal immigrants “not to promote the interests of EE.UU.”
Last week, Trump suspended until the final of 2020 the issuance of permanent residence cards for immigrants – called “green cards” – alleging the need to protect the labor market permanently affected by coronavirus. There is the same argument that Trump excuses himself from recording many of the records on legal immigration that he has not been able to implement before the pandemic.
On December 31, Trump extended his ordinances until the March finals. The Republican presidential entourage has signaled that the immigrants represent “a risk to the labor market market” and impede its entry into the United States issuing Proclamation 10014 and 10052.
