Actress Abigail Breslin announced her father, Michael Breslin, on Friday after she had a fight with COVID-19.
‘O woe. Hard to write this. Harder than I thought. I’m in shock and devastation, ”she began a long Instagram post on Friday night. “At 18:32 EST, my sweet, perfect, wonderful, heroic, wonderful dada passed away after me and my family said goodbye.”
She added that it was COVID-19 that cut my dad’s life short.
Earlier this month, the 24-year-old star “Scream Queens” asked fans for “prayers and positivity” after her father was put in a fan.
She tells fans that she appreciates the love and support she and her family receive, and writes, “I want to remember my father for who he was.”
‘My father was a hilarious, noisy, stubborn, rebellious, intelligent, sweet, amazing person. He loved life. He loved his family. He loved the simple things … ”her tribute continued.
“And we loved him,” she concluded. “And we will always do. I miss your dad. I can not wait to see you again. I will never, ever, ever forget you. To the moon and back dada … ”
He loved a cup of coffee (black, heated for 66 seconds).
He loved a good Knish (but ONLY in the winter).
He liked to fry (and although we liked brown mustard, he just wanted French’s Yellow).He loved Bryeyer’s ice cream (strawberry, vanilla and chocolate NEO style)
He loved doowop songs, specifically: “I Wonder Why” by Dion & The Belmonts and “Under The Boardwalk” by The Drifters.He loved dogs and cats and all animals, and he especially liked to hear funny stories about my pets. He always said, “abba dabba, you have that animal lover in you, just like me”
He loved taking photos, flying planes, great dinners and music from the 50s and 60s, great couches and Kenyan mountain coffee and funny YouTube videos and email threads and weird poems and politics. .
Breslin has posted a series of photos of Michael over the years along with her tribute.
Her brothers, Ryan and Spencer, also paid tribute to their father, while Breslin’s famous friends sympathized with them.
“I’m so sorry about your loss ❤️❤️❤️,” Maude Apatow said.
Dakota Fanning added, ‘Oh Abbie, I’m so sorry to hear that. I have such vivid fun memories of him with you and Spencer. All my love is sent to you and your family’s path. ❤️🙏🏻 ”
