On Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC.
Subnautica: Under Zero, the standalone expansion to Unknown World’s brilliant underwater survival adventure in 2018, finally gets its full version 1.0 on May 14th.
Under Zero, there is almost two and a half years of early access by the time May arrives (its predecessor, on the other hand, was slightly longer in early access development, just over three years), and the full launch will see the game make the leap to Nintendo Switch, with Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
If you have not kept up with developments, Subnautica: Below Zero takes place after the first game and challenges players, who are thrown into a new role, to survive on a previously unseen part of the ocean planet 4546B – by well-known systems of construction, manufacture, and exploration.
Subnautica: Under Zero’s much spoiler-y launch date trailer.
This new location is significantly icy and colder than Subnautica players have encountered before, bringing its own unique biomes, creatures and other surprises. There’s a look at the action of Below Zero in the trailer above, but be warned it’s full of spoilers.
Unknown Worlds has confirmed that Subnautica: Under Zero’s console editions will be available digitally and physically when it launches on May 14 with the PC version.
