Cricket fans flood social media with memes on Day 2 of the third Test match between India and England
Twitter is on fire on Day 2 of the ongoing third Test match against India and England at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Interspersed with live tweets and expert comments on the microblogging platform are also a number of hilarious memes and funny posts from cricket fans. As with other cricket matches, this one also garnered a flurry of memes on social media – this despite the fact that India saw a sad start on day two as Joe Root and Jack Leach completely dominated the batsmen of the host. Only Rohit Sharma (66) could find a bit of rhythm.
After leading a first innings, India took quick wickets against England. The visitors started their second innings badly, with Axar Patel sacking Zak Crawley and Jonny Bairstow on Day 2.
The actions of Axar Patel have received praise from various quarters – including a congratulatory message from the son of the Congress General, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s son, Raihan Rajiv Vadra.

India and England were tied 1-1 in the third of the four matches that could decide which of the teams would go to the World Cup final against New Zealand.
The rebuilt Ahmedabad Stadium has room for 110,000 fans but opened only 55,000 seats in its first international match due to the coronavirus pandemic.
