This weekend, on February 27, the Pokémon series celebrates 25 years since the launch of the original Game Boy titles.
Rumors have been circulating and now it looks like the official Pokémon Twitter account is participating in the fun. It is currently doing a countdown with different generations of bag samples. With four days left, the following tweet is shared saying, “Let’s go, Sinnoh”.
Despite the fact that the same account referred to other Pokémon games and generations in its daily countdown, this particular tweet some fans quite excited.
The Sinnoh region was first formed in the fourth generation Pokémon Diamond & Pearl for Nintendo DS.
If you forgot, Spanish fan site Centro Pokémon has confirmed that Switch remakes of the DS titles Pokémon Diamond & Pearl are in development and will be released on February 27th.
“Pokémon Center can confirm that remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl, originally released for the Nintendo DS in 2006, are being developed for the Nintendo Switch, according to sources close to the company.”
A much older rumor dating back to 2019 suggests that the remakes of Diamond and Pearl contain ‘let’s go catch’ (the catching mechanic who first appeared in the Pokémon: Let’s Go games).
If this is not enough, it seems the Poké Ball Plus, first released with the Let’s Go games, gets a timely reprint:
