Epic Games sends players V-Bucks to fix ‘Fortnite’ lawsuit lawsuit

Fortnite: Save the World players who bought random outside boxes when they were available can expect to have 1,000 V-Bucks in their account in the coming days. The move is part of Epic Games’ efforts to settle a lawsuit against outcasts, which has been approved by the North Carolina Supreme Court. Epic sold the blind objects for Save the world (and for Rocket League) until early 2019 when it was decided to replace V-Buck Llamas with X-Ray Llamas, which will allow players to see what they will get before buying a box.

Although the settlement should be for US players only, Epic says it will “make this benefit available to players worldwide.” They do not even have to file something like a claim to get the money in the game. As The edge notes, plaintiffs must usually file one to receive benefits from a settlement. Asked about it, Jeffrey Jacobson, a partner at the law firm that represents Epic, told the publication: “First, it’s the right thing to do, and we feel strongly about random outings. And two, we feel good about “We hope our players agree with us.”

In addition, Epic Games set aside $ 26.5 million in cash “to resolve claims arising from player purchases” of the items in the game. It can be used to pay attorney fees or to pay players who have been harmed under legal action, including minors who purchased items with their own money with or without parental consent. Affected minors can file a claim for up to $ 50 or 13,500 V-Bucks via the official settlement website. These settlement conditions also apply to Rocket League players who bought random outside boxes for the game. That means they get 1000 Rocket League credits and can also file a claim for more.
