Two women in Florida apparently wore disguises to look like elderly “grandmothers” leaving the coronavirus vaccine line. However, the fraudsters were caught red-handed by local police.
Dr. Raul Pino, the director of the Florida Department of Health in Orange County, said Wednesday that two younger women went to the Orange County Convention Center, a vaccination center.
“So we realized yesterday that some young ladies came dressed for the second time as grandmothers came,” Pino explained. “I do not know how they escaped for the first time, but they were vaccinated. The hood, the gloves, the glasses and they were probably in their twenties.”
“Pino said that some firefighters who help investigate and investigate the people who come on vaccines have noticed something nasty and Pino said the sheriff in Orange County got involved,” WESH-TV reported.

The state of Florida “prioritizes persons 65 years of age and older and health care personnel in direct contact with the patient and residents and staff of long-term care facilities.”
The suspected geriatric scammers, who were wearing face masks, were identified by authorities as Olga Monroy-Ramirez (34) and Martha Monroy (44).
The sheriff of the Orange County office on Friday released body material from police officers who confronted two women who allegedly tried to get COVID-19 vaccinations by pretending to be senior citizens.
A delegate is seen on the body material reprimanding the women for committing fraud to try to get COVID-19 vaccines.
“Do you know what you did? You stole a vaccine from someone who needed it more than you. And now you’re not going to get your second one. So it’s a whole waste of time we just wasted here , “according to WTVD-TV, the officer is heard telling the women.
“If you return, you will be arrested,” law enforcement warned the masked councilors. “You are happy that you are not being arrested now.”
The women are not charged with allegedly sneaking into the vaccination center, but with being violated.
Pino said health officials are investigating how the women got their first shot, adding that they may have gotten the vaccination through a loophole or possibly through an insider.
The director noted that this is not the first time someone has pretended to be a senior citizen to get a COVID-19 vaccine. He revealed that a man attempted to shoot a coronavirus using the identification of his 65-year-old father.
“This is the hottest commodity currently available,” Pino said of the coronavirus vaccine. “We have to be very careful with the funds and the resources we provide.”
Pino said they have added more security cameras at the Orange County Convention Center since the violation.
Officials said Thursday that nearly 45 percent of the population over 65 was vaccinated in Orange County.
Florida has administered nearly 4 million coronavirus vaccines.
