Cuomo ‘played political football’ with elderly people, says the daughter of the nursing home victim

Vivian Zayas, leader of Leadership and Compassion, of the New York Government, Andrew Cuomo, is to blame for many deaths among the elderly in nursing homes, Vivian Zayas said Thursday after she lost her mother in a nursing home due to COVID-19.

Zayas told Fox & Friends that her “mother’s plant continued to report that there had been only 40 deaths in the past ten months.”

However, Zayas claims that people know that ‘it was wrong’.

“Families knew all along,” Zayas said. “When the numbers came out through the New York report, her facility now reports 70, so that’s more than a 40 percent increase.”

NEW YORK LAWMAKERS WANT TO VACUATE CUOMO’S EMMY

The FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn have begun an investigation into how the New York government’s Andrew Cuomo handled the state’s nursing home crisis during the coronavirus pandemic, according to a report Wednesday.

The investigation is not far off and is focused on top members of Cuomo’s task force for coronavirus, reports the Albany Times-Union, citing a source with direct knowledge of it. Neither Cuomo nor any administrative official has been charged with any offense at this stage.

Members of Cuomo’s task force include Howard Zucker, New York Health Commissioner, and Secretary of State Melissa DeRosa. The latter investigated this month after she apparently admitted that the governors’ team withheld information related to COVID-19 deaths at nursing homes.

The leaks only confirmed what everyone knew ‘all the time’, that is, they were ‘hiding’ deaths from the coronavirus.

“They played political football with our seniors,” Zayas said.

“I’m just grateful that the truth is coming out, that we’re standing up for something. And at the same time, it gives us the opportunity to look at what happened to our seniors and give them some kind of justice.”

In a statement sent to Fox News in response to growing criticism, Jack Sterne, a spokesman for the Cuomo administration, said: “The governor is committed to getting as many vaccines in the weapon as humanly possible. is, while continuing to manage this public health emergency.

“New York went from one of the highest COVID positivity rates in the country to one of the lowest and delivered more than 2 million shots, including 92% of all first doses we received – that’s exactly why the vast majority majority of New Yorkers approve of the governor’s task of fighting COVID. “
