Lourdes “Lola” Leon, daughter of pop icon Madonna, is the new face for The Marc Jacobs’ spring 2021 campaign.

According to a brief statement from the brand, the survey was inspired by ‘eclecticism and an individualized approach to personal style’.
Leon’s own style is equally noisy and imaginative, although the 24-year-old singer and model maintains a fairly low profile, but only created a public Instagram account in January.
The outline of the decision to use Leon for the campaign also nods to a ‘long history’ between Madonna and Marc Jacobs.
Madonna was a longtime muse and friend of Marc Jacobs. In an interview with Vogue in 2008, Jacobs, then creative director of Louis Vuitton, calls the Queen of Pop the ‘ultimate performer’. She has starred in two Louis Vuitton campaigns under his leadership and bears Jacobs’ label of the same name on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar US in 2016.

Marc Jacobs’ new Spring 2021 collection is not Leon’s first way of making fashion. In 2019, she made her debut in a video for the collection of Miu Miu’s spring series. Since then, she has appeared in a number of collaborative streetwear collaborations, including Jean-Paul Gaultier x Supreme and Parade x Juicy Couture. In January, Leon starred with the director and starred in a campaign video for a Stella McCartney x Adidas capsule collection.
