Night in the woods publisher Finji announced its next game, Chicory: a colorful story, coming to Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC in 2021. The game, led by Wandering song developer Greg Lobanov, focuses on painting – bringing colors to a black-and-white world.
Chicory: A colorful story looks like a digital coloring book, where the player is free to create and decorate as a way to bring color back to the world. The story unfolds from there as you use this painting mechanic to manipulate and move the environment. The game is launched with local cooperative play so that painters can play together in the world.
Ah yes, and this is important: you play as a dog with a magic paintbrush.

Celeste composer Lena Raine worked on the music with sound designers Em Halberstadt and Preston Wright. Sony has said industry newcomers Alexis Dean-Jones and Madeline Berger are responsible for the art.
