A TikToker ended up in the hospital after she jumped on the Gorilla Glue wagon and said she had “accidentally” applied the heavy adhesive to her hair.
‘I do not know what to do. It was an accident. I did not want to put Gorilla Glue in my hair, ”moans Avani Reyes in one of the several clips posted on the website.
‘I have to go to the hospital so they can remove this Gorilla glue. I have no idea what to do. I tried to wash it, it does not come off, ‘she says, adding that her’ scalp is burning. ‘
But Reyes’ tough situation, following that of ‘Gorilla Glue girl’ Tessica Brown, has many people saying that her story looks a bit hairy – and that the TikToker is trying to record her own 15 minutes of fame.
‘I followed you, only you looked like a wonderful person. But you did it willingly after it happened to that lady. & you have the audacity to ask people, ”said one user.
‘Are you just mocking the other person who did it or did it really happen? Either way, it’s wrong. you went to the hospital and wasted (sic) time there, ”said another.
And a third simply says, “I hope it never comes out.”
Reyes, who has more than 459,000 followers on the video-sharing app, later followed up, claiming the hospital “did nothing”.
‘I just got out of the hospital and they did nothing for me. Look at my hair, ”she says in the clip.
Reyes said she was advised to try olive oil, tea tree oil or coconut oil to remove the debris – despite Brown’s similarly unsuccessful attempts before Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Michael Obeng, performed a $ 12,500 surgery for free to free her hair from the glue.
‘I used coconut oil for half an hour and then just washed my hair and there’s still Gorilla Glue in my head. I think I need to get naked, ”adds the woman, who claims she raised enough money to travel to LA to have surgery like Brown.
She even claimed that one generous benefactor had donated $ 3,000 to her cause.
‘You know it was definitely a journey with this Gorilla Glue. It was crazy, thank you so much, ”she says.
Brown – who hired an agent amid all the advertising – raised nearly $ 24,000 to pay for her medical bills, but said she would donate most of it to charity.
