With LastPass’ free plan, you can choose between your computer and your mobile phone

You will have to pay for LastPass again if you plan to use it on all your devices. As of March 16, the company is limiting LastPass Free to one type of device. You can use it on all your computers or all your mobile devices, but not both at the same time. Your first login on or after that date will determine your platform choice, though you have three chances to switch from device type if you think about it.

LastPass stressed that you will not lose access to anything stored in your safe, but added that email support will be limited to Premium and Family members from May 17th.

It is not surprising that the company discounts Premium subscriptions at $ 2.25 per month ($ 27 per year) compared to their normal $ 3 to encourage upgrades.

We asked LastPass if it could expand on the reasoning behind the move. For the first time, however, it seems to be a simple matter to increase subscriber numbers. Although there have been incentives in the past to use paid accounts, such as encrypted file storage and dark web monitoring, it was fairly easy to get by with free service. It gives you a clear motivation, if only by limiting something you take for granted.
