The idea of Apex Legends for Octane would give him an explosive change

Apex Legends currently has a small pool of hop-ups for select weapons, but others have been identified through game files and have never been released. Here are all the uncovered hop-ups and if it will be released soon.

As Respawn Entertainment added new content to Apex Legends in the form of legends, weapons, skins, attachments and skins, data collectors and sweets got their hands on details on non-released items.

These were mostly hop-ups. Although the current outdoor pool contains only a handful of these attachments, fans are always looking for more and hoping their favorite weapon gets a pop-up.

With season 8 underway, more of this has been leaked. So we will get a complete list of them, what they can do and whether they might still come to the Apex Games.

Double Tap Trigger was one of Apex’s best hop-ups, but it was removed in season 8.

Armorsmith

The most recent take-up came in the form of the Armorsmith, which found leaks in the game files after the first hotfix of season 8.

According to leaks, it looks like the once popular Disruptor Rounds startup, as it would go on the RE-45 and Alternator weapons. However, it can help you increase your shield faster than normal, instead of doing extra damage.

Compared to some of the other leaked attachments we’ve seen, it’s possible that it’s be released sometime in the future, and maybe already in season 9.

The Armorsmith hop will likely increase your shield earning rate.

Heatsink

Apart from the Armorsmith, season 8 also brought leaks about a jump known as Heatsink. After being leaked for the first time in season 6, more voice lines have been added for Horizon and Fuse in seasons 7 and 8, respectively. There is not much going on except for the voice lines from the current Apex characters.

What’s interesting, though, is that the name has appeared in several fan concepts before, each suggesting it could help the L-Star and Charge Rifle.

Ignition rounds

With the memory of the Incendiary Rounds until 2019, it’s a little less cryptic than others. As the name suggests, it would only be bullets that sustain fire damage when used.

Since Fuse is now in Apex, and his kit revolves around fire, this could be a perfect addition to the legendary Aussie voice. Although, since it’s been a while since the attachment leaked and we haven’t heard anything since, it could have been deleted by Respawn.

Sentinel hop-up and gold sniper stock

A similar cryptic pop-up leak has also surfaced over sniper rifles. Previously, leaks suggested that snipers would get a gold sniper stock, similar to the auto magazine now available, but that did not happen.

In season 8, there is a pop-up spot on the Sentinel, sparking further rumors. However, Respawn said it’s just a visual error, so do what you want.

At the moment, only the Longbow sniper is a jump in Apex – the Skullpiercer Rifling – but maybe more will come in the future. Sniper users definitely hope so.

Apex Legends Season 8 new hop up
Respawn Entertainment

A new Hop-Up for the Sentinel may be underway.

As Apex continues to expand and enter new seasons, more hop-ups are likely to be discovered, but these may be cases where the developers are just testing ideas rather than adding them.

We will continue to update this post with more hop-ups and leaks attached.
