Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra boasts 120x zoom and mini second screen: Report

The Xiaomi Mi 11 was recently launched in Europe with the expectation that the Lite, Pro and Ultra iterations of the phone would follow soon. In a YouTube video that is now not offline, the Ultra appears to be and boasts a very unusual camera series.

While the original video of Tech Buff PH has been put on private, there is still a mirror of the original available that shows a large rear camera series that, although it is a fake, looks pretty convincing. The model number M2102K1G corresponds to a previous rumor of the model name “K1” said by kacskrz, which is a historically reliable source on Xiaomi devices. XDA Developers name a few other reasons why this leak seems legal here.

If the device shown in the video is genuine, the camera push is on the Mi 11 Ultra essentially. Tech Buff PH claims that the unit has a 50 megapixel main sensor, a 48 megapixel wide angle and a 48 megapixel peripheral zoom lens. On one of the two phone models that Tech Buff shows, the text on the camera series reads 120X Ultra Pixel AI camera, while the other text reads 120X, 12-120mm, 1: 1.95-4.1. It’s a little strange that the text on the two phones is different, but it can also be attributed to the pre-production of the devices.

If Xiaomi were to stop there, the camera range would not differ as much as seen in other similar cameras, but the model shown adds a unique feature: a second small screen next to the camera lenses.

In some of the tracks on which the screen is displayed, the full screen on the front of the device is visible on the small screen, which seems quite impractical. it’s more likely that the second screen is designed to take selfies, allowing you to take advantage of the higher quality rear cameras instead of relying on the usually much worse front camera.

What’s weird is that this particular version of the phone looks exactly like what’s happening on the front of the phone, and it’s unclear why this is a desirable feature. It’s just a side effect of the device’s software prototype, or it’s a possible issue that may indicate the claim of authenticity.

Either way, if this leak is true in the end, the trade-off for these camera features seems like a huge physical collision. Multiple images show that the bulge is significantly raised from the back of the phone and is likely to carry the weight with the physical leap in size.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is not expected to drop this month, so it’s a surprise to see a leak so far, and it could be an indication that there are more leaks.
