Google says ‘more than 100 games’ coming to Stadia in 2021

With the closure of Stadia Games and Entertainment giving Stadia at least the look of an uncertain future, Google is taking plans for ‘more than 100 games’ coming to Stadia in 2021, including nine games that will go live on the streaming platform in the next few months.

To help renew confidence in Stadia, Google has decided to take a closer look at gamers. In fact, the company shared that ‘more than 100 games’ will be added to the Stadia store over the course of 2021. Previously, Google shared that they will be tracking “400 games” for Stadia in the coming week. few years. The contemporary figure of the “100 games” refers specifically to the 2021 launch page.

For something more tangible in the short term, Google is showing nine of the upcoming games today, including actual launch dates for most of them.

First, on February 23, WayForward brings two titles in the beloved Shantae series of platform players to Stadia. Specifically, the second game, Shantae: Risky’s Revenge – Director’s Cut – a new version of the Nintendo DSi original 2010 – and the fourth game, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition – Director’s Cut – which includes all the original DLC.

Then there are a trio of games in March, the first of which is It came out of space and ate our brains, a top-down shooter about fighting back aliens with cooperative to four players, coming to Stadia on March 2nd. As announced last week, EAs will FIFA 21 will arrive at Stadia on March 17th. And this on March 26 Kaze and the Wild Maskers, a 90s-inspired platform and a product of the Stadia Makers program.

On April 23, Stadia will win Judge, a dirty effect of Sega’s Yakuza series, in which you will play as a lawyer who literally fights to redeem himself in a corrupt society.

To round off the list, the last three games are simply referred to as ‘soon’. Killer Queen Black is an eSports-inspired multiplayer action strategy platform, complete with cross-play with Steam and Nintendo Switch players. Street Power Football offers a more sarcastic-style football – or football, in America – if the realism of FIFA is not your jam. Finally, Hellpoint is a Dark Souls-like RPG set in a dark and mysterious deserted space station.

None of these games should come as a surprise to those who have followed the revelations seen in rating systems like the ESRB, as summarized in our weekly Stadia Changelog series. It’s good that Stadia has formalized all these versions and even shared some release dates so players can know what to expect over the next few months.
