Nintendo started Nintendo Switch Concierge, a program designed to familiarize those who ‘recently purchased a Nintendo Switch system’ with the console.
Switch Concierge gives Switch owners one-on-one video conferencing with a Nintendo representative. There are six half-hour sessions to choose from: Nintendo Switch 101, Games (Getting Started), Games (What to Play Next), Security and Privacy, Nintendo Account and Customization. It all looks very 101 – for example, the Games session (Getting Started) allegedly covers the difference between buying a game on a cartridge or purchasing via ‘digital download’. (Are not all downloads digital?) The adaptation session is about the @ NintendoInspired Instagram feed.
A service for new Switch owners would have been nothing a year ago: this past spring Animal crossing: new horizons caress those who were confined to their homes during the onset of the pandemic was almost impossible to get a switch in your hands. Now that most digital retailers have the Switch back in stock, Switch Concierge is likely to be more viable. I look forward to learning about the available video games for Nintendo Switch and why they were all spelled Hades.
