While many of us are eager to see the day when face masks are a thing of the past, that does not mean that you can drop your mask immediately after the vaccine. “At the moment, masks are still recommended after vaccination,” the captain explained Sara Luckhaupt, MD, MPH, a member of the Essential Workers Team, vaccination task force of the CDC COVID-19 Emergency Response Team.
“We also do not know yet whether you will prevent a COVID vaccine or whether you can spread the COVID virus to others, even if you are not ill. [yourself]”Luckhaupt further explained.
