Second flight in Ecuador can only be with the presidential binomials | Politics | Notice

Having known the first results of the expedited meeting of the Electoral National Council, various persons have been asked if it is possible that there is a second gap between three candidates.

It is debatable that agreeing with the information, the first place is the occupier Andrés Arauz of UNES with the 31.74% decreasing with an inferior limit of 30.82% and superior of 32.65%; second place is Guillermo Lasso from CREO-PSC with 20.05%, with an inferior limit of 19.29% and superior of 20.80%, and third place Yaku Pérez from Pachakutik with 19.85%, with a lower limit of 18.94% and a superior of 20.77%.

Without embargo, the second wave only can be realized with these binomials, which is what Article 143 of the Constitution states that if in the first vote “no binomial hubiera absolute bourgeoisie is carried out a second electoral wave within the next and five days, and in it participates the two most voted binomials in the first world “.

While Article 89 of the Code of Democracy records that the second electoral roll is realized when the Absolute Mayor’s vote is not taken and in it “participates in the two most voted binomials, in compliance with Article 143” .

It is ratified in Article 161 which adds that the second world is realized in the following quarters and five counts of the result and “in which it participates the two most voted binomials in the first world”. (I)
