A TikTok post from a St. Bernard Parish woman went viral after documenting her attack with Gorilla Glue, which she used as a temporary hairspray, and eventually brought her to a Chalmette hospital, according to a WWL-TV report.
Tessica Brown called the experiment a “bad, bad, bad idea” and said her hair remained in the same braid for a month due to the adhesive spray – even after 15 washes and her moon hair dipped in coconut oil.
She ended up in the St. Bernard Parish Ochsner hospital liquidated because her head hurt, according to an Instagram report Saturday. Hospital staff sent her home with sterile water and nail polish removal blocks, but her most recent Instagram post suggested she was still looking for a solution to her hair problem.
A day later, Gorilla Glue released a statement saying they were “very sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident” and added that their product should not be applied to hair.
Since Brown’s crash and follow-up reports, the New York Times has reported that her initial TikTok has been viewed nearly 16 million times and even earned an internet name Gorilla Glue Girl.
