Patrick Mahomes’ fiancée Brittany Matthews tweeted to ESPN during Super Bowl LV

Patrick Mahomes’ fiancée, Brittany Matthews, took shots on ESPN over photos on the company’s Twitter account showing the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback looking dumbfounded during Super Bowl LV.

Mahomes could not get any offense underway because he was rushed on more than half of the snaps he had in the face of the savage Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense. Tampa Bay won the game 31-9, giving Mahomes the first double-digit loss of his career and passing him since 2019 without a Test pass.

Frustrated by the outcome of the match, Matthews left ESPN’s Twitter account blank.

“Cool ESPN, love supporting a great sports platform for one of the best players in the league,” she wrote in one tweet.

She added: ‘You are all [trash] also for this, but he looks damn good to me. ‘

Matthews tweeted her support for the Chiefs full-back while the clock struck three times in Tampa.

“Not how we wanted it to end, but 15 played his heart out and I’m always and always proud of him in everything he does! Let’s have a baby now.”

Mahomes finished 26-for-49 with 270 passing yards and two interceptions. It was the first time since Week 4 of the 2019 season in which Mahomes failed to give an attack. He finished 4-for-12 for 46 yards with an interception on the third down.

“They had a good game plan,” Mahomes said. “They took our deep stuff away, took the sideline and did a good job of taking the football together and making dives. We didn’t execute early, had a few mistakes and we were not on the same page.”
