President Biden again had a round of X-rays on his broken right foot on Saturday, which according to Dr Kevin O’Connor improved “as expected”.
He visited the doctor at the orthopedic specialists in Delaware during his first trip away from Washington since accepting the presidency. Biden twisted his ankle while playing with his German shepherd, Major.
O’Connor said it was a “regularly scheduled weight-bearing X-ray after a week.”
“The president’s symptoms have improved as expected, and he maintains a strict physiotherapy regimen. As we initially explained, sprains of the foot can sometimes be a more serious injury than the bone fractures that accompany it. This x-ray is to be sure that he has achieved good ligament stability, ”O’Connor said in a statement.

Biden injured his foot in late November. He was seen walking and jogging lightly between the buildings of the White House, without any sign of injury. He did not see that he was carrying the trunk that his doctor initially thought he would need.
“Initial x-rays are reassuring that there is no obvious fracture and he will receive an additional CT for more detailed imaging,” O’Connor said in a statement in November. “A follow-up CT scan confirms hair fractures (small) fractures of President-elect Biden’s lateral and intermediate ciliary bones, which are in the midfoot. He is expected to need a walking boot for a few weeks.”

Biden said he flew to Wilmington, Delft, to finish packing and spend time with the family.
He said he planned to “see my grandchildren and hang out with Jill to let the rest of the stuff we have go from our house to the other house.”
