21 pharmacy chains ready to give COVID-19 vaccinations

Both the retail giant and its affiliated warehouse club are ready to vaccinate Americans.

On Feb. 2, Walmart said select pharmacies at retailers in 22 countries will begin administering the vaccine as soon as doses are available by the end of next week. According to Walmart:

“Once we have received the vaccinations, customers and members may be eligible to book a convenient vaccination appointment directly via a schedule tool on the Walmart and Sam’s Club websites, while the award lasts. In addition to appointments, the scheduler will provide a digital reminder when it is time to return to the second dose of the vaccine so that the vaccine can be fully effective. ”

Walmart is already vaccinating patients in countries where it has agreements with local governments.

The states in which Walmart will be a federal pharmacy partner are Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee. , Texas, Utah and Wyoming.
