BioWare has announced the launch date and new details for the long-awaited Mass Effect Legendary Edition this week. Although the biggest updates in the remaster of the series are cosmetic, one specific change has piqued the interest (and fury) of fans. The remaster will change the cuts of the camera that focus on characters’ butts.
In an interview with Metro UK, Mass Effect Legendary Edition Mac Walters, project director, said BioWare reconsidered how they portrayed characters like Miranda in the remaster.
‘[Character and environment director] Kevin [Meek] actually exclaimed some camera clips that just … why focus on Miranda’s butt? Walters said. “In some cases, we said, ‘Okay, we can make a change there.’ ‘Walters indicated that there are no changes to specific character models, but rather that the cameras are slanted.
Perhaps the best-known example of Mass Effect’s questionable camera angles is a scene from Mass effect 2 where she talks to Commandant Shepard about rescuing her family, and instead of focusing on one of their faces, the camera focuses primarily on Miranda’s ass.
People on Twitter and Reddit have already noticed the changes and are express their support (or disagree) with the decision.

People also took the opportunity to make butt jokes.
While some people are up to date online about the changes, the adjustments will not change much, such as adding new downloadable content or Mass effect 3see controversial end. The collection in particular will not feature the fan-favorite Pinnacle Station DLC.
If you want to see the extent of the changes, take a look Mass Effect Legendary Edition when it arrives on May 14th. The game is released for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One and can be played on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X through backwards compatibility.
