Samsung has launched an update (via TizenHulp) for the Galaxy Watch 3 with a number of new features that further enhance the usefulness of the watch. One of the major additions to the watch is support for Samsung SmartThings Find, which was launched last year. As the service awaits now, owners of the Galaxy Watch 3 can locate their portable if it is somehow missing. And if it’s not offline, Bluetooth Low-Energy will come to the rescue by pinging devices in the area to track you.
The new update also improves the health features of the watch and should speed up the ability to detect workouts automatically, which means you can be less worried about your watch not keeping up. Furthermore, if you have the Handwash app, the watch can now automatically detect when you washed your hands and for how long, which will help hold you accountable.

Other improvements include better stability and reliability, challenges for group steps in the Samsung Health app, and even home fitness apps. The update will now be available to Galaxy Watch 3 owners in the US, India and South Korea, and it will be available at 74 MB. Unfortunately, it seems that the Galaxy Watch Active 2, one of the best Android smartwatches, is not currently getting the same benefits, but it may change. Both smartwatches were recently updated to include new ECG and blood pressure monitoring in Europe, which was a highlight in Samsun’s latest portable article in our Galaxy Watch 3 review.
