Gemini adds lawful Anderson in agreement with SF

The Twins announced Thursday night that they have acquired right-hander Shaun Anderson of the Giants in exchange for fielder LaMonte Wade Jr.

Anderson (26) made his MLB debut with the Giants in 2019 and appeared for them in 46 games (16 starts) in the 2020 season. His career ERA is 5.17 over 111 1/3 innings, with a 1.8 pass-to-step ratio. He was originally selected in the third round of the 2016 draft by the Red Sox of the University of Florida. Boston traded him to San Francisco in the deal that Eduardo Núñez sent to the Red Sox in 2017.

Wade, 27, was a ninth round pick for the Twins in the 2015 draft from the University of Maryland, which also made its Major League debut in 2019. through the 2020 campaign.
