Jarron Deajon Pridgeon, 25, was also charged with one count of shooting with intent to kill and a count of possession of a firearm while on probation, Musvilgee District Attorney Orvil Loge said Wednesday on a press conference announced.
According to police, a woman in Muskogee, eastern Oklahoma, also sustained serious injuries.
Loge said “the court filed a plea of not guilty” on behalf of Pridgeon and set a court date of Feb. 18.
CNN has reached out to Pridgeon’s lawyer and is seeking a copy of the charges.
Police said they were notified of the shooting around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday around 1:30 p.m. Officers arrived at the residence and saw a suspect, identified by police as Pridgeon, leave with a gun in his hand. Pridgeon was arrested after a brief chase.
Muskogee police spokeswoman Lynn Hamlin told reporters that Pridgeon “made the initial 911 call” that brought police to the scene “and asked that EMS be sent to their place.”
Police did not immediately release the names and ages of the victims or information on a motive.
