Fortnite’s continued collaboration with Star Wars continues today with a new mode and location being added as part of the game’s 15.30 update.
Mando’s Bounty is a points-based affair where you have three lives to take down as many opponents as possible – and preferably the target identified by your own bounty puck. This article sits in your inventory and projects a holographic image of your victim, just like in the popular TV show The Mandalorian.
Play takes place on the Fortnite map, though the action is currently focused on the new canteen location, near Butter Barn in the Fortnite desert area (which is more Tatooine than Nevarro, though). Come in here and you will be greeted with Star Wars’ famous Cantina orchestral music, and probably a blaster in the face.
Mando’s Bounty can be played alone or as a team. In some ways, it’s similar to the John Wick Premium mode that ran before, although there is a midpoint turn, as the Mandalorian himself will eventually show up and start hunting for the points leader of the match. Get a Victory Royale and you deserve a Mandalorian victory umbrella.
Fortnite’s current season is with a premium hunter theme, and the ultimate prize for the battle pass is offered by Baby Yoda. While enlarging your store may give it a try.
