“Can’t wait to see you in court”

Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson led his IG Stories on Monday to deliver a sharp response to Glen Davis after insinuating that his recent series of injuries were ‘karma’ for his remarks about Rodney McGruder over the weekend.

“Dang Big Baby what are we doing now!?,” Thompson wrote. “I can not wait until I see you on the track next year. I call iso every time. Get 40 in a quarter with big men chasing me.”

Thompson worked as a color commentator when McGruder confronted Juan Toscano-Anderson on the field after Saturday’s game between the Warriors and Detroit Pistons. Klay detained his teammate and made harsh remarks about McGruder, saying he was probably acting because he ‘could be out of the league soon’.

Davis spotted everything and commented on an Instagram post about the incident, writing: ‘When I say shit like that, I can see why he stays hurt. Karma. ‘

Thompson had a torn ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors, which he missed the entire 2019-20 season. Nearly one month before the 2020-21 campaign would begin, Thompson tore his Achilles during a pickup game. The injury meant Klay would be out for another season.

While Thompson kept his reaction strictly about basketball, he knew exactly what he was doing to promise to name iso against Davis when he’s back in the league next season, even though Big Baby has not been in the NBA since the campaign of 2014 to 15 not.
