The “Scream” actress, 47, taken to Twitter Monday to show solidarity with Wood following her abuse of Marilyn Manson, allegations that Manson denied and called ‘horrific distortion of reality’.
“I stand with Evan Rachel Wood and other brave women who have come forward,” tweeted McGowan, who was previously engaged to Manson for two years before saying so in 2001.
She continues: “It takes years to recover from abuse, and I am sending them strength on their journey to recovery. Let the truth be revealed. Let the healing begin.”

The 52-year-old shock rocker was named by her social media by Wood on Monday as her alleged abuser.
“The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known as the world Marilyn Manson,” the 33-year-old wrote of her fiancé with whom she was briefly engaged in 2010. “He started taking care of me when I was. a teenager and I have been horribly abused for years.
“I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission,” she continued. “I already live in fear of retaliation, slander or extortion. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him before he destroys more lives. I stand with the many victims who are no longer silent. ‘

After Wood shared her own allegations, at least four other women posted their own allegations against Manson in evidence of solidarity, Vanity Fair reported. The women allege that they endured ‘sexual assault, psychological abuse and / or various forms of coercion, violence and intimidation’.
Manson has denied similar allegations in the past.
The ‘Deep Six’ singer, who was allegedly downloaded by his record company, also shared an Instagram post on Monday in which he denied all the allegations against him.

“Obviously, my art and my life have been magnets for controversy all along, but these recent allegations about me are terrible distortions of reality,” Manson wrote. “My intimate relationships have always been completely one-sided with partners who think alike. No matter how – and why – others now choose to misrepresent the past, that’s the truth.”
