At the same time, Thorn released a statement in both written and filmed formats in which she began by saying, ‘Hello friends! I am delighted to be able to say that I am a trans woman; my name is Abigail and you can refer to her with her. Thorn constantly condemns the discrimination faced by trans people in the UK, saying: “trans people, especially people of color, are hardest hit by unemployment, homelessness, and domestic, sexual and police violence, but the focus of the conversation always on rich white cis women tweeting about toilets. ”
