Xiaomi has reportedly started sending out media invitations for the worldwide launch of the Mi 11. According to TechRadar, the Snapdragon 888 flagship will be announced on February 8 at 13:00 CET (07:00 ET) in Europe.

The date seems to be right, because yesterday we also heard a rumor about it on the Xiaomiui Telegram channel. The company is also tease something on his Twitter account, indicating that the official announcement of the date may appear soon.

The Mi 11 was the first phone introduced with Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor. However, the worldwide launch comes after that of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series that went on sale in public today.

Although Xiaomi has so far only announced one phone under the Mi 11 moniker, it is believed that we will get the Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Lite at some point this year as well. The former was even spotted in Xiaomi’s code for the Gallery app of MIUI 12.

Will Xiaomi launch the two extra models along with the regular Mi 11 on February 8? Well, that’s anyone’s guess. The company is very brief about it, but we do not have to wait long to find out.

Until then, you can read all about the Mi 11 here. The flagship phone will not have many competitors if it lands in Europe. It also gives the region its first taste of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip, as Samsung only sells Exynos models of the Galaxy S21 series there.
