Jeremy Pruitt will reportedly make contact with Joe Judge again in the New York Giants coaching staff for the 2021 season.
The Giants have added a notable name to their coaching staff.
According to Dan Duggan of The Athletic, Jeremy Pruitt, head coach of the University of Tennessee, who was recently fired, will join the staff in a role yet to be revealed. Duggan reported the news Wednesday night.
Pruitt was released from Tennessee earlier this month after allegations of trespass were discovered.

It was previously reported that Pruitt was working on a deal to join Robert Saleh’s Jets staff, but according to Connor Hughes of The Athletic, it did not materialize.
The #Jets does not add Jeremy Pruitt to their coaching staff, says a team source. Not as DB coach or assistant DB coach.

Although the role has not yet been announced, there is a chance that Pruitt could work as a defensive back coach, whether it is as an assistant or in the lead role. Prior to his three-year tenure with the Volunteers, Pruitt was a defensive rugby coach for numerous programs, including Alabama from 2010-12. It was here that he previously contacted Joe Judge, who from 2009-11 was a special team assistant for the Crimson Tide before his tenure.
At the moment, the Giants are using Jerome Henderson as their defensive back coach and Anthony Blevins as their assistant defensive back coach. Nevertheless, that part of the game needs all the help it can get. The Giants were tied for 16th place in the NFL with 237.9 passing yards allowed per game, even with a star like James Bradberry on the corner.
Pruitt also worked as an infield coach during his 2016-17 series at Bama, so that could be another option for his potential Giants role.
