It’s no secret that the Brooklyn Nets are watching Andre Drummond, center of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
In fact, Drummond’s exit from Cleveland is apparently threatening after the Nets’ acquisition of superstar James Harden.
“Drummond is the most interesting player on this list beyond perhaps Derrick Rose,” Zach Harper of The Athletic wrote about potential buyout scenarios. ” A few league sources mentioned after the Harden trade in Brooklyn that it’s a matter of time before he goes into a buyout, and they will help to help their interior. Drummond is a difficult player to figure out because of how he wants to fit in. He’s obviously better than the Kendrick Perkins option [Oklahoma City] Thunder once had, but Drummond requires you to spill belongings during a game and throw it in the mail for him. If you can make Drummond flow, catch lobbies, set up screens, bounce the ball out and play defense, he’s a great option for someone like the Nets. ”
Drummond, 27, is running one of the best campaigns of his career.
The two-time All-Star amassed a career-high 18.7 points this season over 14.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.4 steals. He started in 16 games for the Cavs.
The Cavaliers were one of the teams involved in the Harden Agreement. They took rising star center Jarrett Allen off the Nets.
Due to the mega-trading, the Nets have great depth. They are especially exhausted in the position of the great man. A player with the size and experience of Drummond can help a lot later.
However, the Cavs will try to maximize the center’s value. The Cavs are the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference.
