- Samsung is reportedly aiming to ship 26 million Galaxy S21 series devices by 2021.
- This apparently corresponds to the number of units sold in the Galaxy S20 series last year.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 series offers three excellent flagship phones, with the access limit up to $ 800, while especially the top S21 Ultra gets several major upgrades.
You would think that the reduced price would generally result in more sales, but The election reports that Samsung has compiled a fairly conservative estimate for delivery in 2021. The Korean news agency claims that Samsung estimates that it will ship 26 million devices of the Galaxy S21 series this year.
Interestingly, the exhaust valve notes that the Galaxy S20 series sold so much in 2020, adding that this figure is considered overwhelming by Samsung. It reportedly drew up this estimate for the S21 series due to the impact of COVID-19 on physical stores and its position in the premium segment.
The base Galaxy S21 accounts for 10 million shipments (40%), while the Galaxy S21 Plus and S21 Ultra can account for eight million shipments (30% each). It is believed that Samsung’s estimate for shipping the Ultra model increased compared to last year’s S20 Ultra estimate, as it apparently underestimated the demand for the 2020 Ultra model.
Either way, we are pleased to see that Samsung is surpassing the trend of rising prices in 2021. Hopefully the company thus exceeds its target. Are you thinking of buying a Galaxy S21 series device? Let us know via the poll below!
