Democrats will control the federal government for decades or longer if a new proposal is considered to become comprehensive government reform law, Tucker Carlson said Monday.
Carlson warned of the many dangers of ‘HR 1.’, the ‘For The People Act’, a nearly 800-page bill sponsored by Maryland Democrat John Sarbanes of Baltimore.
“The ‘For the People Act’ is the foundation of the Democratic Party’s strategy to control the federal government until the middle years of your grandchildren. Look at it,” the host warned.
“Like most revolutionary documents, it’s not very exciting – nothing sounds radical at first. The bill begins by declaring that Congress – contrary to Article I of the US Constitution – has a ‘ultimate supervisory power over federal elections’. “.”
Carlson noted that the handling of elections under the constitution is largely left to the states, but that the Democrats’ bill would essentially nationalize what he calls the California electoral system.
“Under our current loss, states can decide how much fraud they will tolerate: Florida requires you to show photo identification in order to vote. California just wants you to vote Democrat,” he said.
“If HR 1 succeeds, all 50 states will be California – the whole country will receive the ballot and the mail by mail. Think about it.”
Carlson said the Democrats are essentially taking the exact opposite message from the right-wing riot at the Capitol on January 6th.
He said crowds turned to civil unrest because millions were convinced that the 2020 election was not fair, and that they did not come to the conclusion because ‘the last president told them so’.
‘You hear it now as if it’s animals that take orders and do what’s told them – but it’s not animals, but American citizens who can see what’s happening and come to their own conclusions about it: They have the drastic increase in the vote seen by the post, and it spoiled the public’s confidence in the system of our elections. “They were furious about it and some of them exploded,” Carlson said of the rioters.
“According to the Democrats, the lesson of that terrible day was that we needed more of the corrupt policies that caused it in the first place. We need more ballot papers, we need to harvest more ballots: more corruption! It will hurt the country . ‘
Carlson pointed out that a rule in Sarbanes’ bill states that a state government does not require voters to provide “any form of identification” to seek an absent ballot.
“Under HR 1, [people] could freely go from house to house and apartment after apartment to collect unknown thousands of ballots and then dump them all into a ballot box. “No one would have had an idea if there had been a tampering with the ballot papers at some point, or that there would have been any way to prove it if they had been tampered with,” he continued.
“HR 1 also makes it harder for election observers to lodge complaints about this because complaining is racist.”

Carlson further pointed out that Canada and France have banned ballot papers, while the party in power in the US is seeking the opposite solution.

The host went on to contrast the Democrats ‘call for open, irresponsible voting with surprisingly offensive messages from an entity he says is otherwise left: Jeff Bezos’ Amazon.
“If that’s the power that puts them at stake, the Democrats have a very different position,” he said, noting Amazon’s criticism of the vote on the Alabama election campaign.
“You must know that it is not considered hypocrisy. They do not care if they are caught violating their own rules, they are not offended by double standards. They want power, it is a power attack and that’s all it is, “he said.
He further points to legislation of Rep. Stephanie Murphy, D-Fla., And notes that the Orlando legislature is proposing a bill that, in the host’s words, “prohibits anyone with the wrong opinions from having a significant job in the federal government.”
