Ax Lamp, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has revealed his frustration at losing his job and admitted he wanted more time this season in his first public statement since being sacked by the club.
Blues legend Lampard outlined a reaction to his brutal dismissal on Monday night and fans said he hoped he would be allowed to improve stuttering Chelsea’s luck this season.
Lampard responds to the League Managers Association, saying: ‘It has been a privilege and an honor to run Chelsea, a club that has been a big part of my life for so long.

“First of all, I want to thank the fans for the incredible support I have received over the past 18 months. I hope they know what that means to me.
‘When I accepted this role, I understood the challenges ahead in a difficult time for the football club.
‘I am proud of the achievements we have achieved, and I am proud of the academy players who made their move in the first team and performed so well. This is the future of the club.
‘I’m disappointed I didn’ t have the time this season to take the club forward and take it to the next level.

Lampard was under pressure after a serious record of five defeats in eight Premier League matches, although his sudden departure earlier in the day was still a shock to many fans.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has taken the unprecedented step of declaring the club’s relentless move as part of the club’s announcement, calling it a ‘very difficult decision’.
