Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that a new way to recharge will come in the Apex Legends Season 8 update as Gold Mags for weapons are added.
The eighth season in the history of the game is launched royally two days before the second anniversary of the battle, and based on what we know so far, the next Legend Fuse is going on the battle with a bang.
The first trailer for the update showed a destroyed Kings Canyon after Fuse’s arrival was not fully planned. Explosives have been stored and set off everywhere on the map, which means that major map changes are expected. If you’re looking for a complete map report for S8, January 26th is the date you should pay attention to, on top of the early notes.
However, the developer team dropped another big detail to promote the live showcase of trailer two, citing new magazines that are in the works. Gold Mags, to be exact.

The 30-30 Repeater is on its way to Apex Legends.
Apex Legends Season 8 Gold Mags Confirmed
As regular players will know by now, these trailers are often a live page that the community can use before the promo video is launched. Eventually a countdown starts and new content appears.
That said, we do not have to wait for the countdown this time to know that big things will be mentioned in the display window. The video description for YouTube says: “Fuse arrives in season 8, and he tackles a lot of attitudes – and things that thrive. Choose the opposition with the Salvo’s most popular weapon, the lever action 30-30 repeater. Explore a destroyed Kings Canyon reformed by Fuse’s arrival.
‘Look out for gold magazines that can automatically reload folded weapons. Also grab the latest Battle Pass and blow through the competition in Rank. Ready to master the chaos? ”

So yes, it looks like Gold Mags will be one of the biggest features of the Apex Games in season 8.
Will Gold Mags be overrun?
Immediately, the players were worried that this new item might be on the overwhelming side. However, game designer Daniel Klein assured players that the reload will not be immediate.
‘I think some of you think it’s much faster than it is. There is a good delay before reloading an armed weapon, and if it turns out that the delay is not long enough, we can always increase it. “The developer explained. ‘It should not be usable for fraud from a recharge; it should be to switch to another weapon, use it a bit and then switch back to your reloaded initial weapon.
The developer also explained that there is a quick pop up on the screen and a ‘sound’ when your reload is complete again, so you know when it’s safe to switch back!
