Khabib Nurmagomedov apparently had a few words of choice for Conor McGregor after the Irishman’s knockout loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 on Saturday night.
Nurmagomedov was apparently not surprised by the fight and tweeted that a similar outcome would happen to anyone changing their team. He did not name McGregor in the tweet by name, but the bad blood between the two rivals is still alive.
“This is what happened when you changed teams, the sparring partners who made you a champion and struggled with small children, far removed from reality,” he tweeted.

McGregor was warned after the tweet during the press conference with reporters and insisted that nothing had changed at his corner.
“My team has been with me since day one. I have not changed anything. That’s what it is. Respect the athletes and that’s definitely the character of the man behind the mask. Whatever. What does he want to do? I want to. come back or not? Because he does not throw any boneheads. I rose from the ground against Dustin and I turned Dustin. Look at the little bags of that series. Like I said, styles make fights. Every fight is’ another fight, ‘McGregor said via MMA Fighting.

I will adapt and keep going.”
McGregor added that the UFC lightweight champion’s comment was ‘fight talk’ and if he wanted to make ‘disrespectful comments’, he should come back and fight.
