NFL Championship Games: What You Need to Know

Whether one of your teams plays Sunday, both matches have historical value and will be exciting matches to watch.

NFC Championship: Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Green Bay Packers

When: 15:05 ET on FOX

Who to watch:

The obvious players to watch in this game will be the veteran backs, and with good reason.

Green Rod’s Aaron Rodgers has a normal completion rate of over 70% by 2020 and is the first in the league with 48 this season. Rodgers has played the playoffs 10 seasons and has appeared in 19 playoffs, including one Super Bowl.

Tampa Bay’s Tom Brady is considered by many to be the GOAT of the NFL backs with 43 playoff games in 18 years of the national season, including nine Super Bowls, which has won six times. This is his first season with the Bucs, so his leadership is definitely in the spotlight.

Who has the most to prove:

Both teams have a little thing that will light the fire under them.

For the Bucs, if they win, it will only be the second time the team has won the Super Bowl. With Brady at the helm for the first time, there is a lot of riding on their success.

As for Green Bay, it’s the quarterback who will really bring heat. Can Rodgers outbid Brady?

AFC Championship: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills

When: 18:40 ET on CBS

Where: Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri

Who to watch:

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has cleared a concussion protocol after hitting the Browns last week.
Travis Kelce, the heavily used tighthead of the Chiefs, is always a good choice for Mahomes. With 11 touchdowns and more than 1,400 yards on the season, Kelce is the 6-foot-5 260-pound attacking weapon for Kansas City, and they need to look after him in this game.
Wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who has been an asset to the Chiefs all season, will also be a key player to watch. Hill is currently second in the league for assists with 15 overall, and his season total of 1,276 yards is in the top-10. However, Hill did not make an onslaught in the post-season, and therefore he will want to pick up his first 6.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen has had an uphill battle all season as an underdog, but he wants to surpass 350 passing yards in this game. Allen has a completion rate of 69.2% and has all three touches after the season.
Allen will be looking for wide receiver Stefon Diggs to hold his third consecutive game at more than 100 yards and a touchdown. He is first in the league for both the total yard and the total reception.

Who has the most to prove:

The bills are definitely the inferior match against the current Super Bowl champion. The Chiefs dominate the entire season, but the Bills want to bag their ticket to the big game for the first time since 1994. The Bills Mafia, as their fans are called, is ready for a new reason to rejoice.
