An independent panel of vaccine experts has reviewed the data from Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine and will announce its recommendations on vaccine use next Tuesday, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Friday.

Mariangela Simao, WHO Assistant Director-General for Access to Medicines, Vaccines and Pharmaceuticals, spoke at a WTO social media event on Wednesday, noting that SAGE experts in early January recommended using the Pfizer vaccine. “It’s coming up soon for another vaccine,” Simao said.
