Rainbow Six Quarantine is currently only for release in Ubisoft’s fiscal year 2021-22 (from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022), after being formally delayed with Far Cry 6 in October last year. Some have taken the Ubisoft Connect date to mean that the game’s release has been quietly moved forward, but unfortunately this is not the case.
Quarantine, first announced at E3 2019, is a distraction from Rainbow Six Siege, and especially its popular Outbreak temporary event. The three-player PvE game will see groups of operators take on the creations of a deadly new parasite, using FPS reflexes and tactics to survive.
The match was initially scheduled for early 2020, but two delays occurred, one at the end of 2019 and another in 2020. directly to the workflow problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The name and its associations are probably not a great tool either.
Along with Quarantine and Far Cry 6, Ubisoft now also has a Star Wars game in development at Ubisoft Massive, which will be the beginning of a ‘long-term collaboration’ between the French developer publisher and Disney.
