According to the latest rumors, Battlefield 6 will get inspiration from the fans favorite Battlefield 3. In addition, the game can simply be titled ‘Battlefield’ and it is also coming to PS4 and Xbox One.
This year we will finally get a brand new Battlefield game that will be coming somewhere during the festive season. According to earlier rumors, the game will return to the current environment, which many players are looking forward to.
Today we have some new rumors about Battlefield 6, coming from trusted insider Tom Henderson, who is a well known source for all things Call of Duty and Battlefield. In his latest video, Henderson shared some new information about the game. You can see the video in full below, but here’s a brief breakdown of all the new information if you can not watch the video:
Henderson states that Battlefield 6 will be strongly influenced by Battlefield 3 and that it can simply be ‘Battlefield’. This is a gentle reload of the series, as mentioned before, and will highlight large-scale battles with cards supporting up to 128 players.
In addition, he claims that the game will also be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which means that it is not an exclusive choice for the next generation of consoles. Henderson says the PS4 and Xbox One versions will only have 32 vs 32 game modes with some graphical downgrades and limited destruction.
Apparently the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game are in development “by a different studio or another part of the same studio”, which suggests that EA takes both versions of the game seriously.
Last but not least, a battle-royal mode for Battlefield 6 was in development. EA seems to be impressed with the success of Call of Duty Warzone and wants to bring a much better battle-royal experience with Battlefield 6. Let’s just hope it does not end like Firestorm.
While everything you read now seems realistic and Henderson is a reliable source, we suggest you take it with a grain of salt, just like any other rumor or unconfirmed information.
