FDOH will administer COVID-19 vaccines in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, Florida – The Florida Department of Health in Collier County and the Healthcare Network will administer COVID-19 vaccines from Wednesday, January 20th.

DOH-Collier confirmed that people can start planning their appointments on Monday, January 18 at 9 p.m. Appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine must be made on Eventbrite.

The COVID-19 vaccine at North Collier Regional Park Soccer Fields, 15000 Livingston Road in Naples, is open on Wednesday 20 January and Friday 22 January, according to DOH-Collier. The site will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and people who have made appointments must arrive ten minutes before their scheduled time.

According to DOH-Collier, it will be healthcare staff with direct patient contact and everyone over 65. Healthcare professionals receiving the vaccine must provide identification indicating that they are healthcare professionals.

Face masks must be worn while people are waiting in their cars. DOH-Collier said no referral is needed and it will cost nothing. Customers will be asked to complete the registration form before receiving the vaccination.

COVID-19 testing will also take place on Tuesday, January 19 at the Winn Dixie Mall, 1500 Lake Trafford Road in Immokalee, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., or until the test capability is reached.
