An alien machine we have already visited, the Harvard astrophysicist still claims
Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb says he has found good evidence for alien technology in the United States solar system, which can be called a foreign garbage, and that some other scientists do not take his ideas seriously because of ‘group thinking’.
In his new book “Extraterrestrial: the first sign of an intelligent life outside the earth”(Houghton Mifflin Harcourt), to be published on January 26, Loeb describes his journey to a radical position on the strange interstellar visitor called ‘Oumuamua’ – a cigar or disc-shaped object buzzing through our solar system in 2017 has. .
Avi Loeb is an astronomer who argues for taking design detection seriously – at least in his own field. If you like challenging podcasts, you will love many of these parts.
At 29:06, describing his hypothesis for the mysterious ‘Oumuamua object, Loeb says’ nature does not produce such things. ‘A few minutes later, he pulls together the strings of his argument and uses a design detection filter (à la William Dembski’s explanatory filter).
No one cares about whether Loeb was right about his enigmatic astronomical data. One appreciates (very much) to see design detection efforts in action.
