Samsung has made a comeback at CES this year and announced a new TV series that boasts its new mini-LED technology in its Neo QLED TVs and further dives into its emitting Micro LED display technology that will be OLED in the coming years adopt. To some people, though, the true star of Samsung’s 2021 TV series does not look much like a TV. The Frame – a TV designed to look like a framed portrait – will be restored in 2021, and fans of this imaginative TV can no longer be excited.

The main change to this year’s repeat of The Frame has to do with the frame (i.e. the edge), which Samsung has slimmed down quite a bit – it’s now 46% thinner than previous versions and looks more like a framed portrait a result.

The frame’s portrait-like edges and displays are customizable.

Samsung is offering attachment edges in five different color variants so fans of The Frame can choose how they want to present their TV to the world. In addition, these colors come in two new styles, “Modern” and “Beveled”, which allow owners to blend The Frame better into its surroundings.

Although the size and pricing information remains small, it is noteworthy that the 2020 version of The Frame was available (and still is) in six sizes: 32 inches, 43 inches, 50 inches, 55 inches, 65 inches and 75 inches. We expect the brand new version to feature 4K resolution, quantum dots and a relatively premium price due to the enhanced nature of the TV design.

It may not be the TV for everyone, but The Frame has a cult among people who do not want to be content with a TV in the garden in their living room or bedroom. Perhaps its continued success will encourage more businesses to approach TV design with more care and creativity.
