West Texas Dirt Blows in Houston Due to Strong Winds, Causing Dusty and Misty Conditions

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Friday’s strong winds that swept across southeast Texas calmed down, but not before bringing dust from west Texas and other neighboring states.

While the air quality in the area is still in the moderate (healthy) range, you can see a haze in the air this morning. Video of Conroe, Houston and Galveston showed reduced visibility in the area.

Once the dust moves out, we see clear skies and dry conditions over the weekend before there is expected to be a rain event next week.
