UPDATE 2: Additional Fortnite update of 15.20 patch notes unveiled by Epic Games.
Update 15.20, available for download now, introduces the Lever Action Shotgun, which is available in regular outdoor drops. On top of that, it’s the brand new Hop Rock Dualies Exotic, which is a dual weapon that allows players to battle enemies while bouncing on the map.
But perhaps most exciting of all is that Predator will be taking part in the game as the secret skin of this season. Dataminers such as Lucas7Yoshi has already uncovered the Predator spray, while his ship that crashed can be found in Stealthy Stronghold.
Players will also be delighted to hear that Epic Games has taken back the changes made in the 15.20 update in Pre-Edits.
“With ‘Disable Pre-Edits’ ON,” all structures built by the player will not be editable until they are actually placed in the environment, so you get the right piece every time, “Epic explains.
You can see the updated note notes of 15.20 further on the page. Meanwhile, downtime has begun and will last until at least 10:00 GMT.
UPDATE: Fortnite developer Epic Games took the game offline in preparation for update 15.20.
Fans can continue playing if they are already in a match, before the match goes completely offline at 09:00 GMT.
‘We start deactivating services in preparation for v15.20’, reads an epic tweet. “If you’m currently in a session, you can continue playing until a pause starts around 04:00 ET (09:00 UTC).”
ORIGINALLY: Fortnite Update 15.20 is finally released by Epic Games.
After several weeks without updates, Epic has returned with a brand new patch for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and Android.
Fortnite update 15.20 has a launch date and a 09:00 GMT launch period for fans residing in the UK on January 13th.
As a numbered update, it will also start with a period of server downtime, lasting from 09:00 to approximately 11:00.

Epic Games announced the news on Twitter: ‘Fight up close and personal in our new update.
“v15.20 is scheduled for release on January 13. The downtime for the update starts at approximately 04:00 ET (09:00 UTC).”
According to the wording of the tweet, there will be a new weapon up close. Leaked files indicate a brand new Run Gun, which allows players to run faster when equipped. This will definitely get you close to your opponent.
The new update probably also includes a brand new Hunter skin. Rumors suggest that Predator will join the game, which definitely joins the theme of the current season.
According to the early patch notes, update 15.20 will also make various bug fixes and game adjustments, which you can read below.

• The lever action rifle
– Blow them away! The new Lever Action Shotgun is no peashooter – one well-aimed explosion is enough to drop even the most ardent enemy. Available in regular outer drops, pick one up and let us know what you think.
• New Exotic: Hop Rock Dualies
– Look below! Drop your opponents with the new weapon of the exotic class, the Hop Rock Dualies. Put down a few bars and pick them up to shred through the enemy in a double, reflective style.
Speaking of Exotics, their offer for reduced prices has been extended. Visit key characters on the island and swap your pubs for these unique weapons, or try to collect them all in one game!
• Something is stirring in the jungle
– The forest is moving … something is there! The Secret Battle Pass outfit follows closer and leaves behind in the Stealthy Stronghold clues behind who they are and what they are planning.
Meanwhile, Agent Jones brings some big cannons with the next few Hunters to take part in the chaos.
• Pre-change options: Redux
– We heard your feedback in response to our pre-changes in 15.10 and have adjusted the setting. With ‘Disable Pre-Edits’ ON, all structures built by the player will remain unchanged until they are actually placed in the environment, so you get the right piece every time.

BATTLE ROYALE
• Game freezes when you go to the Compete tab on PlayStation / Xbox
