LEE COUNTY, Florida – The Florida Department of Health in Lee County announced Tuesday that there are enough vaccinations available to plan 1,800 new appointments this week.
The reservation line will open on Wednesday at 13:00. The booking slots are expected to be filled within minutes.
The toll-free number you need to dial is new after the government vendor has upgraded the system.
The new number is 866-200-3468. The call line will NOT be open until Wednesday afternoon, officials stressed.
The appointments are scheduled for Thursday, January 14 and Friday, January 15 at the premises near the Southwest Florida International Airport, and only people who manage to make appointments will be vaccinated.
Elderly people 65 years and older and health workers can receive the vaccine.
After the additional 1,800 shots are scheduled, there will be no more vaccine supplies left for this week, FDOH-Lee officials said.
FDOH in Lee County is awaiting information on when and how much vaccine will be available next week.
The vaccination site is located east of I-75 off Daniels Parkway.
