The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday’s lottery award has risen to an estimated $ 625 million, making it possibly the eighth largest in U.S. lottery history and the fourth largest since the game was launched in 2002.
The winning numbers were: 12, 14, 26, 28 and 33. The Mega Ball drawn was 9 with a megaplier of 2X.

While no one across the country won Friday’s $ 520 million jackpot, five second-prize tickets were sold, including one in New Jersey. Each corresponds to five numbers, but not the Mega Ball.
The lucky ticket for New Jersey was purchased at Jersey Bagel & Food Mart on Sicklerville Road in the Sicklerville section of Winslow, New Jersey lottery officials said Monday.
A New York ticket is worth $ 2 million because it was purchased with the Mega Ball option for an extra $ 1.
Tickets for Georgia and Massachusetts are also valued at $ 1 million, while the California ticket is valued at $ 576,869.
Lotto prices in California vary depending on the ticket sales and the number of winners. This differs from the fixed second prizes offered in other participating states.
Friday’s winning numbers were: 3, 6, 16, 18 and 58. The Mega Ball was drawn 11 with a Megaplier of 2X.
The last time a lottery player won the best Mega Millions jackpot was on September 15, 2020, when a $ 120 million ticket was sold in Wisconsin. Two top pots were hit in 2020 in New Jersey. An anonymous winner is claiming the $ 202 million prize won on February 11 with a ticket sold in Edison, and a $ 124 million ticket was purchased in Bayonne for the July 24 draw.
Mega Millions tickets cost $ 2 each and in New Jersey must be purchased on the night of the drawing at 10:45 p.m. The chance that a ticket can hit the jackpot by matching five numbers and the Mega Ball is 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12 607 306 chance of winning the second prize of at least $ 1 million by five numbers fit.
Mega Millions is played in 45 states, Washington DC and the US Virgin Islands.
The New Jersey Lottery office in Lawrence is open to the public by appointment. You can still claim your profits – provided they are less than $ 599.50 – in person at any dealer.
The lottery also accepts claims by mail, although officials warn that payments may be temporarily delayed. Winners are advised to make copies of the claim form and the winning ticket for their records.
