Google Stadiums and GeForce Now are coming to LG TVs in 2021

LG has announced that it will bring two of the leading cloud gaming services, Google Stadiums and Nvidia’s GeForce Now, to its latest TVs later this year. Stadiums are expected to be available in the second half of the year after OLED, QNED and NanoCell TVs start shipping in 2021 – with GeForce Now coming later.

The news points to a continued expansion for both services. Google has promised that Stadia will come to Google TV (including the latest Chromecast) in the first half of 2021. Last week, Sony announced its 2021 series of TVs. They all run Google TV, so it’s a safe bet that you’ll also be able to find Stadia with those when they air in a few months.

As for GeForce Now, it is currently available on the Nvidia Shield platform, Windows, macOS, Chrome OS, Android and (in beta) on Safari for iOS and iPadOS. But it is not broadcast on any TVs, so LG is one of the first in this regard.

It is unclear whether these programs will be available for 2020 and earlier LG TVs. For now, the company just promises that they will come to the 2021 models, with a new setting for the “Game Optimizer” that comfortably brings together the options that players pay the most attention to, such as refresh rate, input delay and more.
